Would you like your child to participate in a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the “win-at-all-costs” mentality found in many children sports leagues? Then you will want them to be a part of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading this fall.

Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is for K-5 through 6th grade boys and girls in Greeley area andl provides a faith based basketball league and cheerleading that begins in January 2012 and runs for 10 weeks.

The cost to participate is $60 for either Basketball or Cheerleading. Players will receive a practice jersey and game jersey. Cheerleaders will receive a uniform and pom poms. Scholarships are available during registration.

There are no tryouts for Upward, everyone makes the team. Upwards does have an evaluation process that places players of all skill levels on teams of equal talent and assures each player has equal playing time to provide a fun and positive experience. The goal of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is to make every child feel like a winner.

Evaluation weekend will be held November 18th and 19th at the First Church of the Nazarene located at 2515 W. 16th Street in Greeley. Players will be notified by their coach about practice times and dates after evaluations. Practices will be limited to one day a week for one hour with games on Saturday mornings.
